As we all can attest to, the everyday grind of being an attorney whether in-house or working for a firm can feel like a grind!  Sometimes taking time to create a healthy work/life balance seems like an impossible task that we have no time or energy for, but I’m here to tell you it is key to your survival as an attorney and a person!  Creating an environment where you learn to take time for yourself to enjoy and find a hobby is a soft skill that is essential to attorney survival.  Early in my career I would have never believed that having a hobby would make a difference in my professional career, but now nearly 25 years later, it is clear I could have never survived without one (or two)!
